Last week was National Knitting Week *and* my Facebook page hit 500 likers.  I know a lot of people do random giveaways when their pages hit milestones like that, but I prefer to be a bit more inclusive: to thank all my page fans, I’ve written a free knitting pattern (click on the download below).  Like all my knitting patterns, you’re perfectly free to sell any items you make from it (though of course you can’t copy, reproduce or resell the patterns or photos themselves – that would be breaking the law.  Just point folk at this page instead with hyperlinks 😉 )

So… what’s great about this pattern?  Well:

  • it’s EASY – you only need to be able to cast-on, cast-off, knit and purl (though I’ve given adaptations for more experienced knitters)
  • it’s FAST – it only takes about 2 hours to do.  So you could make one a night…!
  • it’s a real STASH-BUSTER – it only takes around 15g of double-knitting wool (about 31.5m, total)
  • it’s so ADAPTABLE – I’ve given lots of ideas how to change and tweak the pattern.

Maybe you could make a lot of hand-made gifts for your relatives and friends after all…?  I hope you enjoy knitting it!  And do please post photos of your finished work on my FB page for me to admire.
